Ben's picks
Ben is the Executive Chef at Bufalina Cesar Chavez. He loves cider (and so do we!) and selected two unique examples for his pack, plus a really awesome bottling of white from Christian Tschida.
Shacksbury “Broc Edition” Rosé Cider is a real treat to have on our list, and one we’ve been looking forward to carrying for a while. Shacksbury is our favorite domestic cidery based in Vermont. They work with organic heirloom apples and make beautfiul dry ciders often in can or keg. When they decided to team up with Chris Brockway, proprietor of Broc Cellars in California, we were thrilled. Chris is contributing some of his delicious Valdiguié grapes, in which the sparkling dry cider is aged with before bottling. The grapes add a beautiful color, fruitiness, and texture. Did we mention the labels are designed by our favorite Austin artist, Eva Claycomb?! Win, win!
Christian Tschida is a prominent natural wine producer based in Burgenland, Austria. Tschida’s blends Weissburgunder (aka Pinot Blanc) and Scheurebe and ages it in large used barrels for a year.
2018 l’egrappille “widre” cidre
