Steven's picks
Steven is the owner of our wonderful restaurant and an avid lover of natural wine and one of the first to support and build a natural wine program in Austin. He is a huge fan of Burgundy (you’ll find two in this pack!) and loves a wide range of natural wines from all over Europe. '
Jean-Claude Ramonet is a third generation and legendary producer of the Ramonet estate which was established in 1920. The family is heralded for their top bottling of the famed and most prized vineyard in the Côte de Beaune, Montrachet, however their dedication to prestige and care for all of their vineyards, makes their Aligote from the village of Bouzeron a true value in their portfolio.
Alice and Oliver de Moor, one of our all time favorite producers, are based in the tiny village of Courgis near the town of Chablis. Another artisanal producer making miniscule amounts of wine. We always feel like it's Christmas when these wines hit the states. They are incredibly complex, minerally, nuanced, and some of the best examples of Chardonnay being produced in France.
Laura Lorenzo of Daterra Viticultores is based in the subregion of Val do Bibei in Ribeira Sacra, one of Western Spain’s best regions. All of her vines are grown on steep terraces and average between 80-120 years of age. This is a blend of Mencía (the region’s top red variety) and Garnacha, and Laura considers it her “Glou Glou” bottling, a stunning example of quaffable red juice.
2017 jean-claude ramonet bouzeron
2018 alice et oliver de moor “bel-air et clardy” chablis
2018 daterra viticultores (laura lorenzo) "portela do vento" tinto
